The city of Davao is one of the
largest cities and most livable city in the world. It has an estimated
population of 1,530,365 and has 2,444 km2 land area. It is said to be most
livable city because of the progressive economy, and low crime rate. I can tell
that this place is suitable for businesses and the place to live in because the
tap water here is second best next to Switzerland.
It is also said to be one of the
world’s fastest growing economy because investments are arising in this city
and many investors are attracted because of its economic boom. As many Davaoeneos
noticed, many constructions of new infrastructures are built in many parts of
the city like malls, hotels, condominiums and commercial buildings. It just
shows that Economy here in Davao is growing so fast that the City Mayor’s
Foundation noticed it and ranked the Davao City as the 87th world’s fastest
growing city. It is undeniable that the Davao City is booming.
For me, it’s a good news and I’m
happy that the place where I live and grew up is already competing in the
world. But as far as in industrialization is concerned, I hope that the
government will be able to establish a good and systematic plan of building infrastructures
and other things. I also hope that the government will consider on the ways and
means of protecting the nature since climate change is a very important issue
not just in our country but all over the world. Our city government, local
officials and the local citizens should be responsible in handling the economy.
In this way, our city will not just achieve its goal of attaining excellence in economy but also contributing largely to a more important matter which is the nature. I believe that there should also be a
balance of a booming economy and preserving the nature.
